A new report, the “Browser Security Report 2025”, indicates security leaders are realizing that many risks related to identity, SaaS applications, and AI, are converging in the user’s browser. Traditional security measures are not fully addressing the threats popping up within the browser. Unmanaged browser extensions can act like supply chain implants, potentially compromising data and systems. As generative AI tools are integrated, the browser becomes the central point for interacting with them creating opportunities for data leakage, phishing attacks, and other AI-related threats. Enterprises need to implement browser-specific security measures that can address these emerging threats.
